The Nest
(12 - 18 months)
Our youngest explorers spend their days in a calm, cozy room with the same familiar faces. Educators know each child's cues and build the day around simple routines that help infants feel secure, with songs, sensory play, and daily fresh air woven in.
The Grove
(Junior Toddlers)
This is the room of developing vocabularies and first friendships. Natural lighting and natural materials keep things calm while toddlers stretch their new independence: climbing, pouring, stacking, and heading outside every day, in every season.
The Hollow (Toddlers)
Big feelings, big ideas, and a growing sense of independence. Educators in the Hollow set up thoughtful invitations to play each day that spark imagination and creativity, and older toddlers have room to build, pretend, and make friends, with an educator close by to help them find the words for what they need. Like every room at Whimsy, the Hollow heads outside every day, in every season.
The Meadow (Preschool-Aged)
Our kindergarten-readiness room. Preschool-aged children spend their days in small world play, open-ended exploration, and process art, building the creativity, focus, and social skills they'll carry into kindergarten. Letters and numbers show up naturally through play rather than worksheets. The Meadow plays outside every day and sometimes ventures out on walks to nearby parks.
Our Philosophy

Our program emphasizes open-ended play, fostering creativity and exploration. We prioritize emotional connection, providing a loving and supportive environment where children feel valued. We cultivate a lifelong love of learning through outdoor activities and imaginative play.
Meals Made from scratch
Our cook prepares meals and snacks on site each day, most of them from scratch, with an eye to keeping sugar and preservatives to a minimum. Children eat together at the table and try new foods alongside their friends. Mealtimes at Whimsy are part of the learning.
