We spend time outdoors each day, weather permitting, and bring the outdoors in—not only to create calm, engaging spaces, but also to offer children rich, hands-on opportunities for play. By connecting with nature in all seasons and settings, children develop a deep appreciation for their environment and a lifelong love for the great outdoors.

At Whimsy Childcare, learning is a joyful, curious journey. Guided by Alberta’s Flight Framework, our educators support children as co-learners, co-researchers, and co-imaginers of possibilities. We embrace open-ended play, process art, and nature exploration to spark wonder and support each child’s unique interests. Through co-inquiry and thoughtful observation, we help children make meaningful connections to the world around them.
Nourishing Meals
Healthy habits start early. Our meals are lovingly prepared on-site and served family-style, inviting children to practice independence, try new foods, and learn to listen to their bodies. We prioritize fresh ingredients, balanced nutrition, and mealtimes that promote connection and community around the table.
